Being an active participant in shared governance is important to me. Much can be gained from serving on committees. I can gain more institutional knowledge, be privy to significant changes, and effect change by being more than a warm seat on a committee. To this end, I have served on the following committees.
Librarians Committee 2017 – present
Distance Education Advisory Committee (DEAC) 2017 – present
As part of DEAC, I have been active on 3 subcommittees. I am the Distance Education Division Rep (DEDR) for LLRISPS, serve on the FC Online Teaching Equivalency (OTC) committee, and act as part of the POCR review team for the campus.
DEDR responsibilities include reviewing courses for those teaching LIB100 as part of the 3-year accreditation process.
FC OTC responsibilities include reviewing all applications submitted by faculty who complete DE training at institutions other than FC. To date, 71 applications have reviewed.
POCR team responsibilities include reviewing any courses submitted requesting OEI CVC review.
Faculty Senate 2020 – 2022
Open Educational Resources Committee 2019 – present
United Faculty 2021 – present
As one of the Humanities reps, I have attended all UF meetings and reported back to the librarians. I have been an active part of coalescing the librarians into a united bloc, which was instrumental with the passage of the Flexible Scheduling MOU.
Zero Textbook Costs Workgroup Committee 2022 – present
As part of the ZTC Committee, I created 2 Canvas courses to assist instructors with using the new XB12 coding and to encourage the use of OER: Textbook Adoption Basics and Selecting OER. Both are available for self-enrollment and review.
First Year Experience Committee 2019 –
Pathways Steering Committee 2019 – 2022

Accreditation 2A Committee 2020 – 2022
Student Equity and Achievement Committee 2023 – present
